Today is the day that seven of our students take part in a colour belt grading. Examiner Master Cockburn, 7th Degree Black Belt, will put them through their paces to test their patterns, line work, jumping kicks, sparring, self defence, and more. In the final grading session myself, Mr Plant and two of our other Black Belt students will be assessed too. This is part of the Black Belt grading system, where each student is assessed twice before being eligible to grade. It is to ensure the student is along the right lines with their training (due to the amount of training time between Black Belt gradings) and also to keep the student focused.
